Tribe defeated despite valiant effort
The 17th-ranked lacrosse squad played the No. 5 Greyhounds from Loyola College, but was defeated 12-8. The hour-long game was hosted Sunday afternoon at Busch Field Turf and drew a crowd of nearly 200 people.

Although the loss drops the Tribe record to 4-4 this season, three of W&M’s four defeats were against teams ranked in the top five nationally. Loyola’s standing improves to 9-1 with the win.
