Nichol selected as new College president Early last Monday, the College's Board of Visitors announced the appointment of University of North Carolina Law School Dean and Professor Gene R. Nichol as the 26th president of the College. Nichol was elected by unanimous vote, ending the College's nine month search to replace retiring President Timothy J. Sullivan.
