Archbishop Tutu to address class at Commencement Human rights leader Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in the fight against apartheid in South Africa, is scheduled to speak at this year’s Commencement ceremony, the Office of University Relations announced today. He will share the stage with Chancellor and former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who also will speak.
