Points to consider:
The ad deadline is 6 pm on Friday the week before you want your ad to appear! If ads are submitted and accepted after the deadline, they will be subject to a $20 fee.
Ads may be proofed until 6 pm on Tuesday. Final proofs must be requested in writing and will be provided by fax upon completion of advertising production. The right to a final proof for approval is waived by the client unless requested in writing and will be provided by fax upon completionof advertising production.
All cancellations must be made in writing before the advertising deadline. No refunds will be given on advertisements canceled after this time. All canceled advertisements will be subject to production charges incurred prior ro cancellation.
Camera-ready ads receive an additional 10% discount. Ads must be exact size to receive this discount!
Campus organizations receive an additional 20% discount.
Free-standing inserts cost $80/1000, and 5,000 copies must be ordered. Inserts must be delivered to The Virginia Gazette one week in advance. The address is:

Display Classifieds:
No art work is accepted other than logos. Cost is $6.00 per column inch. Minimum ad size is 1 column x 4 inches and maximum ad size is 1 column x 8 inches.
Classified Ads:
All submissions must be typed, double spaced and include the author's name and telephone number. The charge is $0.15 per word for students with a $3.50 minimum and $0.25 per word for all others with a $5.00 minimum. Classifieds must be PREPAID in check (made out to The Flat Hat) or by cash.
Submissions can be dropped off in an envelope outside the office, emailed to The Briefs Editor, or called in to 221-3283. or by mail (c/o The Briefs Editor).
