Confusion Corner: Brief moment of personal reflection

How does someone wrap up a year like this one? Obviously with some attempt to impart words of wisdom which will both entertain and satiate my readers until the long days of summer fade away and we return to the swampy heat of the College. That is what I am attempting to write as I sit in front of my computer, listening to Tom Waits and sipping hot chocolate.



Oscar Mayer Winner

Oscar Mayer doesn't just let any person off the street drive its world-famous 27-foot Wienermobile. Just ask senior Michael Shuck, who underwent a rigorous and competitive application process to become one of a handful of Oscar Mayer Hotdoggers for the upcoming year.



New art exhibits hit the 'Burg

Three exhibits will open April 29 at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, and two others will open later this summer at the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum.



Taking top prize

The Peninsula Fine Arts Center in Newport News sponsored its annual college student juried art show and exhibition, Genesis 2000, beginning March 25 and running until April 30. Some 77 works in all media forms by 58 students were judged for $2,000 in prizes. Pieces were selected for judging from 163 entries by 92 students.
