Volleyball team makes first-ever NCAA appearance
After a 3-0 sweep of the George Mason University Patriots in the CAA Championship game, the volleyball team traveled to Las Vegas, Nev., to face two west coast powerhouses. Now the team is competing in the NCAAs for the first time in Tribe volleyball history.

Women's soccer falls to UVa., 4-1
The women's soccer team was upset in the first round of the NCAA playoffs by the University of Virginia Cavaliers, 4-1. The Tribe as appeared in the last 10 consecutive tournaments.

Men's and women's swim teams both win at Davidson
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams both defeated Davidson College's team. The team competing in the Miami of Ohio Invitational meet this weekend.

Junior quarterback Dave Corley carries the ball. Corley has completed 167 of 283 passes this season for 2,584 yards and has 315 rushing yards for the season. The football team will compete against Appalachian State University in the first round of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs Saturday.


Football team playoff-bound
After a 47-44 victory over Villanova University in the final regular season game, the football team is bound for the playoffs. Saturday they face the Mountaineers of Appalachian State University in the first-round play.

Men's basketball rebounds from road woes
The men's basketball team started the season with five away games and a 1-4 record in those. They returned Wednesday night and began the home season with a 70-55 win over Washington & Lee.

Men's cross country finishes season with NCAAs, IC4As
The men's cross country team took 16th overall in the NCAAs and IC4As recently. Senior Sean Graham set the pace for the Tribe at the NCAAs as he finished first for the team and 51st in the competitive race.

Women's basketball defeats Richmond, 88-85, in thriller
The women's basketball team pulled out a three-point win over the University of Richmond Spiders Thursday. The Tribe was paced by junior Jen Sobota's 24 points.

James Schafer is frustrated with highway drivers. He proposes that roads would be much better if drivers followed the practices of NASCAR drivers.
