Shots fired near fraternities
Late Friday night, after being refused entry to a party at the house of Lambda Chi Alpha, an unidentified male reportedly fired eight rounds from a semi-automatic weapon while leaving the vicinity of fraternity row.
Sale of bonds could fix deficit
Although nothing more than an idea, the prospect of a state-wide bond is gaining support by the College community. The bond would facilitate the efforts of capital outlay, the College's program for campus improvement projects.
Professors discuss U.S. international situation
Addressing a crowd of 80 listeners last night, Professors David Dressler, Lan Cho and Dean Mitchell Reiss discussed international relations issues that have developed since the terrorist attacks of September 11th. The crowd was comprised of College students, faculty and members of the Christopher Wren Association.

Parents who visited the College last weekend got a rare treat; the Tribe hosted The New Hampshire Wildcats, defeating them 38-28.
SA considers bus shelter, mascot
Convening for their weekly meeting, the Student Assembly voted unamiously to build a bus shelter at the University Center, one of the bus route's most frequented stops. Also introduced at the meeting were proposals to create an archive of course syllabi and to change the College's mascot
"Alma Mater" author lectures freshmen
P. Frederick Kluge, writer-in-residence at Kenyon College, paid visits to Professor David Holmes' religion classes. The Author of "Alma Mater," Kluge later gave a public lecture Wednesday evening.

Professors speak on Afghanistan
Voicing their thoughts on the actions of the US Government, NATO Alliance and the UN, College Professors Michael Tierney and Tamara Sonn were the keynote speakers of "Forum on Afghanistan." Over 190 students gathered for the event, which was held in Andrews Hall Monday evening.
CW kicks off fund drive
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, hoping to improve its historic area, created its first fund-raising campaign in almost 80 years. The "Campaign for Colonial Williamsburg" aims to raise $500 million, half of which has already been received.

Wreck set ablaze
In what could be described as an act of vandalism against a reminder of consequence, to a wrecked Jeep Cherokee stirred the College community. The vehicle was located in the triangle of Yates Drive as a part of Alcohol Awareness Week.
SEAC launches campus-wide recycling initiative
The Student Environmental Action Coalition (SEAC) is hoping to renew the College community's efforts to protect and preserve the environment by re-initializing old recycling efforts. In addition, the student-run organization intends to give the College a green audit, which will ascertain just how earth-friendly the College is.
