Society maintains list of alums lost, safe
The Society of the Alumni currently maintains a list of members of the College community who remain missing after the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Lists of those confirmed dead and confirmed safe are also available through the College's main web page.

Safety committee reports buses to run later
SA President Dan Maxey's committee on campus safety announced new measures to ensure the safety of the student body. Green Machines on regular routes and to Governor's Inn will now run later, in addition to other changes.

UVa professor lectures on Vietnam War
University of Virginia professor Robert Turner gave a talk Thursday night on the Vietnam War. He addressed the role of College Chancellor Henry Kissinger during his years as Secretary of State.


Home to the College Physics Department, Small Hall has been selected as one of the College's halls in need of capital improvement.

Delegates view Small, Swem
Members of the Virginia House of Delegates Appropriations Committee visited campus last Monday for a tour of Swem Library's new wing. They also saw Small Laboratory, and heard about the renovation needs of many College buildings.

Law school hosts annual Court preview
Last Friday and Saturday the College's Marshall-Wythe Law School hosted the annual Supreme Court preview, when journalists specializing in legal affairs and various others congregate to review the Court's upcoming docket. The case of Bush v. Gore and its impact on the nation was among those discussed.

State campaign sets out to break last year's record, raise $125,000
Monday the College begins participation in the annual Combined Virginia Campaign to raise money for various charities. This year funds will be collected for the 9-11 Fund as well as several others from past years.

Senate approves program to improve communication
The SA Senate announced a new plan to increase the student body's communication with its elected leaders. Student Outreach will attempt to reach more students so that SA can better serve its constituency.
